Subject: Tinkerbell - South Cross Island Highway other side

Hi folks,

I uploaded photos of that SCIH , orSC Country
Highway. Both those terms are interchangable to me. I
know that as Nan Heng Gong Lu, which in Chinese is the basis of the above english names.

I even relented and uploaded that latest ugly montrosity, but that was taken way before. That is the first photo. Not all the monuments to that TOC were photoed. It seemed to me every 15 years or so, some Governor would decide to erect one so his name would be immortalised. In this trip from the other side done in autumn 2003, I had wanted to cross to the West. But rain and bad weather and getting lost conspired to abort that. We stopped short of crossing that pass to the Western side. You understand that I do not have that much time to write a more complete account. Even as at now, Tinkerbell is calling to be let out of her cage. When I think of it, it's amazing that I succeeded on foot what I failed to do driving a car. But then, 15 years or so ago, I probably would have done well in those Iron Man contest. Pity they did not have them back then.
